OPEN CALL: Workshop on Tallinn-Helsinki Tunnel

Estonian Association of Architects invites to a joint workshop of Estonian and Finnish architects to visualize the impact of Tallinn-Helsinki tunnel on urban environment and to work out different scenarios.

Five Finnish-Estonian teams of four will include architects from both countries. The workshop will take place from 7th to 9th September at Arhitektuurikatel; it is organized by the Estonian Association of Architects in cooperation with Uusi Kaupunki, the partners are Finnish Association of Architects (SAFA), Architecture Information Centre Finland and Tallinn Architecture Biennale.

The tunnel connecting Helsinki and Tallinn has been a much-disputed utopian vision for many years. The workshop will address its potential impact on Tallinn’s urban environment.
