TAB will move to the streets of Tallinn with a series of installations. The curators of TAB main exhibition “Body Building”, Sille Pihlak and Siim Tuksam are building an installation in front of the Museum of Estonian Architecture to serve as a conceptual landmark and signage for the exhibition but also an artwork in its own right. A smaller scale removable version of the installation will be opened on Tallinn’s main square, Vabaduse väljak, on 12th September.
Already in place on Harju Street in the Old Town is the shelter “Reader”, created by the architecture and city planning students of Estonian Academy of Arts. Installation ON+OFF (Dis-)Embarking Rhythms of Transient Communities by Stop and Go will be opened in Tallinn harbour at the D-Terminal on Wednesday.
Students from TTK University of Applied Sciences will present an installation, which questions conquering nature's self-driven system under man's control and to its needs in front of Kultuurikatel, the venue of TAB Club and TAB-Lab exhibition. And one of the largest installations will be opened on Wednesday evening at the TAB-Lab exhibition – “Paracity” by Casagrande Laboratory, a 4-storey structure inside Kultuurikatel.
